What is the purpose of processing your personal data?
Agrupación de Intérpretes de Barcelona is well aware that its customers and collaborators value their personal data. Therefore, we process only the personal data that is strictly necessary to manage our professional and/or business relationship, or to send you information upon request.
If you are a customer interested in using our translation and/or interpreting services, the purpose of the data processing will be to manage the service you ask us to perform, or, when appropriate, to provide you with information you have requested.
If you are an interpreter, translator and/or other professional interested in working with us, the purpose of the processing will be to manage our working relationship and, if applicable, to contact you about possible translation and/or interpreting assignments, or to give you information about third-party assignments that may interest you.
On rare occasions, and providing we have your explicit consent, we may also use your personal data to send you business information and advertising of your interest that is related to our services.
How long will we keep your data for?
We will keep the personal data you give us for the time strictly necessary to fulfil the purpose they were collected for, to comply with our legal obligations, and/or until you specifically ask us to delete them.
What is our legitimate interest in processing your data?
The legal basis for processing your data is to enact any contracts for translation and/or interpreting services that you request.
The legal basis for processing data belonging to interpreters and/or other professionals interested in working with us is also to enact a contract or pre-contractual measures at your request.
In all other cases, we process your data with your consent. You are entitled to withdraw your consent at any time, which will have no effect on the legality of the data processing undertaken prior to withdrawing your consent.
Who will we disclose your data to?
If we need to use other companies or professionals (such as non-AIB translators/interpreters, a postal service, courier or transport company, etc.) to provide you with the information, products or services you have requested, we will give them only the strictly essential information for them to perform the service and they will be prohibited from using the information for any other purpose.
We entrust some services to third companies and/or professionals and we give them only the data necessary to perform their job (legal and accounting consultancy, IT services and web maintenance, health and safety, etc.).
Do you transfer any data internationally?
We do not usually transfer data internationally. However, it is important to note that use of Google, Microsoft and/or Apple products can entail data transfer to the United States based not only on the EU-US Privacy Shield by incorporating standard contractual clauses in the contracts between the parties with additional measures to ensure adequate data protection pursuant to the GDPR.

What are my data protection rights?
